Jean Marc De Angelis is a third generation hairstylist, training in the best salons of Paris and Marseille with world- renowned hair artists including José Eber, Jean Marc Maniatis, Jean Louis David and Daniel Harlow. Jean Marc’s work has been featured in well-known fashion magazines, including cover and inside shots for Elle, Vogue Men, Harper’s and Marie Claire.
After 12 years working for Jose Eber as artistic director at his salon at The Four Seasons in Carlsbad, Jean Marc and his wife, Michèle, opened their own salon in Carlsbad. Jean Marc has worked alongside wife Michèle for over 30 years.
Michèle De Angelis is a renowned, expert colorist, and Jean Marc’s partner in all aspects of life and business—the two have been married and worked side by side for over 30 years. During their time in France, Michèle worked as a colorist for L’Oreal, including work on several L’Oreal shows.
Known for her unique, specialized coloring techniques most colorist have never used, and her natural highlights, Michèle has colored some of the best tressed people in town—from socialites to politicians.
Richard, originally from Wales, Great Britain, started hairdressing a long, long time ago. Arriving in London, he began working for the Steiner Group. From City to sea, transferring to the P&O’s S. S. Canberra and Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth II Ships.
He cruised his way around the world for three years until he reached the United States. There, He joined The Golden Door Spa where he worked for 12 years as the Director of Beauty and Massage.
In 2000, Richard joined the team of José Eber at the Four Seasons Hotel, Avaria. Many years later he transitioned to Jean Marc De Angelis Salon.

Melody graduated from the Palomar Institute of Cosmetology. From 2002 to 2004 she trained at the José Eber Salon at the Four Seasons Resort. During her time here, She trained under the Color Director of the José Eber salon, Michele De Angelis, where she specialized in Balayage. In 2004 she became a colorist for José Eber’s team at the Four Seasons Resort in Carlsbad, California where she worked until 2009.
When Jean Marc opened his salon, Melody decided to follow his vision.
